Corporate Cricket By Peerless

The Peerless General Finance & Investment Company Ltd. today hosted the eleventh match of the “Peerless Smart Cricket Championship- 2008-09” in continuation of its legacy to nurture the spirit of sportsmanship. The match was played between the Team Tiger and Team Lion at Calcutta Cricket Coaching Centre ground. Mr. Syed Nayeemuddin, Former Captain and Coach of the Indian Football Team, was present as the chief guest. He inaugurated the match with the toss.

Team Tiger is mentored by Mr. Tarun Maity and captained by Mr Basistha Mukherjee and Team Lion is mentored by Mr. Jayanta Roy and captained by Mr. Indranil Bhattacharya.

Team Tiger emerged winner in the eleventh match of the new series defeating Team Lion by 38 runs in a spectacular 20-20 cricket match held at C4 ground today.

Debojyoti Roy Chowdhury of Team Tiger was awarded Man of the Match. Debojyoti Roy Chowdhury of Team Tiger turned out to be the Highest Scorer of the match, while Amit Chatterjee of Team Lion came up as the Highest Wicket Taker.

The two teams had faced each other thrice previously in the second, fifth and eighth match of ‘Peerless Smart Cricket Championship 2008-09’. In all the last three encounters, Team Lion emerged winner defeating Team Tiger.
