Durga Visarjan, also called Nimajjan, is the concluding event in Durga Navratri puja or Durga Puja. Ganerally, Durga immersion is performed on Vijaya Dashami day. Durga Visarjan 2010 date is October 17. But nowadays to prolong the festivities, the Durga immersion is also getting prolonged.
There is no certain procedure to perform Durga Bisarjan. After performing Udwasan puja, Goddess Durga idol is immersed in water. In Bengal, Gujarat and Maharashtra, Durga Visarjan is the most eye-catching event where the celebrations conclude with a bang.
